My latest doll quilt

Here is a picture of my latest doll quilt for the Monthly Doll Quilt Swap. It went to Joni in Tennessee.

I liked this one a lot, looked really sunny to me, which was the theme....

Today is a special day. Dave went to work for the last time!!! He starts retirement tomorrow. Yay!!! Now we can finally do things on the weekends again. We both worked weekends since 1997, and even though I retired almost 2 years ago, he still worked them so we couldn't go to all the craft fairs, celebrations etc. We're looking forward to going to the Apple Festival in Hendersonville, NC this year.

Dave said this starts another part of our life. He said it will be like when we were 17, stay home, sleep late if you like, with no worries about work etc. I hope this part lasts a long long time.

EDIT: Several of you sent me bread recipes to use with my new mixer. I am baking today using the Dutch Oven Bakery white bread recipe. Which one of you gave that one to me? It is doing the initial rise right now and looks so pretty!!!! I printed off the recipe a while back then somehow deleted all my emails. I want to let you know how it came out.

That's a beautiful quilt! The colors are very sunny and happy.
Good luck with the bread! Wish I could smell it from here.

Sweet quilt!
Congrats to your husband. I can't wait until my husband can retire. We plan to travel the US.
