Walking in the Cemetery

We wanted to walk someplace different today, so we decided to go to the Riverside Cemetery in Asheville. It is a very old cemetery, and has been made into a park. Beautiful place all on hilly ground. There are 3 very notable persons buried there, Zebulon Vance, Thomas Wolfe, and William Sidney Porter (otherwise known as O'Henry). Some of the tombstones are so unique, and some are very old. 2 that caught my eye belong to nurses who served in WWI. We walked about 2 miles. Thought you might enjoy some pictures.

O' Henry
Folks place money on his stone as he was convicted of embezzlement and served time in prison in Ohio.
