Checking in

First of all, thanks to all of you who voted for my watermelon quilt. It won!!! I get a 25.00 gift certificate from Shereesalchemy Very cool.

Had my first tomato sandwich with maters from the garden for lunch today. Nothing better!!! I wait all year for this, lol. Raccoons have helped themselves to our corn though, so not much of that this year. Oh well.

I'm going to drive to Ohio all by myself on Thursday for a family reunion. Plus, I will get to spend a couple of days with my great grandson, Carter. Will also be checking in with my daughter who had surgery yesterday. The trip came at the right time.

I finally bought a GPS, so will be playing with that on the trip. They are just sooo neat. I told Dave that most of my packing had to do with electronics. GPS, laptop, iPod, Nook reader, lol. Add my clothes and I'm ready to go. Oh, and my handy dandy ever-packed case with everything you need to make Dear Jane blocks. I'm staying at a Holiday Inn Express, so my grandson and his girl can come and swim, and I will watch the baby. I love staying at motels for some reason, I think somewhat because I can be alone in the evening and relax.

I feel weird not posting any pictures. Seems boring. Let me see if I can find a picture of something....be right back.
