Day 2

I was too tired to blog last night, didn't gain any time through the time zones, so we got here in HOT Amarillo, ate, swam, showered and went to bed. It is hotter than 40 hells here. Why anyone would want to live in north Texas is beyond me.

For some reason blogger won't let me upload pictures right now. Will show you later.

Off to Flagstaff today. Plan to stop at the painted desert on the way. Now it gets a lot more fun!!!

I agree with you - not that I live where it's cooler. Flagstaff is one of my favorite little spots - sort of an oasis within the desert. Safe travels.

I, too, hate Amarillo, TX! I live about 40 miles NE of Dallas & it's hot here too. We always called Amarillo the "Armpit" of Texas!

Well you are about half way to where you want to be. And the heat is bad here too. For the mountains anyway. About 90 or so for the next few days .
Safe travels and I will check back to see the pictures are posted..

Hot is right! But it's pretty hot in Arkansas right now too. Makes me wonder what in the world is going on. Enjoy your trip. Love the posts!
