Christmas and a Comfort Doll

We finally had our Christmas yesterday, as my son and his wife were finally able to make it here from Atlanta. Unfortunately they had to leave today, but a short visit is better than none.  Pictures of:

Dave and Jack

It was a really nice day.

I made this little comfort doll from an idea from the blog of a friend. You can see hers  here.  I'd like to make one for each of my great granddaughters. It is sooo cute.

I think stuffing them is the hardest part.

I think I'm going to do the New Years Day Mystery on Planet Patchwork this year. Check it out, it looks fun.

Later,

Oh - love your little comfort doll. SHe is so pretty and looks like she needs a hug. And would you believe it? I have the same flower fabric you made her body from? By the way, I love the red/white wallhanging over the couch .

A short visit is better than no visit. I'm in Atlanta now with my husband's basketball game, which is why I have time to sit and read blogs and leave comments. Every so often, a night in a hotel is a godsend!

So glad your son made it home safe. I love the Red work quilt. It is so beautiful and a lot of work.

Love that snowman quilt on the wall. I've seen it done in blue and white too.
Have a wonderful and happy new year!
